They are seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to design, build, and continuously improve automation frameworks while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure quality engineering throughout the software development lifecycle.ResponsibilitiesDesign and build robust, scalable test automation frameworks for web, API, mobile, and microservice testingWrite production-quality automated test code in Java, Python, JavaScript, or C# using frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, RestAssured, or PactImplement contract testing using Pact or similar tools to validate service contracts in microservice ecosystemsBuild comprehensive CI/CD test pipelines integrated with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOpsDevelop performance test suites using JMeter, Gatling, k6, or Locust, including realistic load models and result analysisImplement security testing fundamentals including dependency scanning, SAST, DAST, and OWASP-based checksLead test strategy discussions, including risk-based testing, exploratory testing, and shift-left practicesCollaborate closely with developers, product owners, and architects to identify quality risks earlyPerform root-cause analysis of production incidents, and translate findings into automated regression testsDrive continuous improvement of test coverage, test reliability, and time-to-feedbackMentor junior QA engineers and uphold engineering rigor in the testing communityMaintain comprehensive test documentation, traceability, and reporting dashboards, applying disciplined engineering practices and partnering closely with stakeholders to ensure outcomes are durable, well-documented, and aligned with broader team and platform standardsContribute to internal testing tools and reusable libraries, applying disciplined engineering practices and partnering closely with stakeholders to ensure outcomes are durable, well-documented, and aligned with broader team and platform standardsSkillsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical disciplineFive or more years of experience as an SDET or in test-focused software engineering rolesStrong programming skills in at least one of Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#Hands-on experience with at least one major UI automation framework (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright)Solid experience automating REST and/or gRPC APIsWorking knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for test automationSolid SQL skills and experience with database validationStrong understanding of microservices, distributed systems, and modern web architecturesExcellent debugging, communication, and documentation skillsExperience working in Agile/Scrum environmentsExperience with contract testing tools (Pact, Spring Cloud Contract)Hands-on performance testing with JMeter, Gatling, k6, or LocustExposure to security testing tools (OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite, Snyk)Familiarity with chaos engineering and resilience testingISTQB or equivalent QA certificationBenefitsFull-time, direct W2 with Bright Vision Technologies (no C2C, no 1099, no third-party)Competitive base salary commensurate with experience, plus benefits100% remoteLong-term, multi-year, aligned to the Bright Vision SOW delivery roadmapSupport H1B transfers for qualified candidatesCompany OverviewBright Vision Technologies is an information technology company that offers software development, AI, and cybersecurity services.
