The role of the Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) involves ensuring product quality through automated testing and validation across various platforms, contributing to the overall quality assurance processes within the company.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for web (ReactJS), mobile (iOS/Android), backend APIs, and data systemsWrite high-quality, maintainable, and reusable code in Java, TypeScript or PythonCreate and execute end-to-end test suites that validate system integration across microservices and data pipelinesDevelop API test automation using Postman, REST Assured, or custom frameworksPerform data quality validations on ETL pipelines and cloud-based Data Lakes (e.g., AWS Redshift, S3)Collaborate with product managers, developers, and DevOps engineers to integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipelineContribute to testing strategies for Data Engineering to ensure accuracyLog, track, and triage issues using tools like Jira and TestRailParticipate in code reviews and provide input on functional and technical designContinuously evaluate new testing tools and approaches to improve QA processesSkills6+ years of experience as an SDET, QA Automation Engineer, or Software Engineer in test-heavy environmentsStrong programming skills in Java, TypeScript, JavaScript.
