They are seeking a Social Media Specialist to enhance student engagement through social media interactions and collaboration with school leadership to support enrollment and community initiatives.ResponsibilitiesServe as a liaison between students, Learning Coaches and teachers and/or administrationManaged and grew social media platforms to increase student enrollment interest, family engagement, and brand awareness across multiple digital channelsCollaborated with school leadership, teachers, and marketing teams to develop campaigns supporting enrollment, attendance, testing participation, and community outreach initiativesMaintained content calendars and ensured timely communication of school events, deadlines, policy updates, and organizational announcementsIncreased follower growth, engagement rates, and digital campaign performance through strategic storytelling and audience-focused communication initiativesResponded professionally to comments, messages, and community inquiries while maintaining the organization’s brand voice and customer service standardsSupported crisis communication and urgent school messaging through coordinated digital communication strategies across social media platformsCreated and scheduled engaging content including graphics, videos, student highlights, school announcements, and event promotions aligned to organizational goalsProvide outreach, training, and support to families who respond to Students First Check In surveysIncrease professional knowledge and skills by attending required staff meetings; participating in school and K12 sponsored Professional Development, and seeking other professional learning opportunitiesParticipate in State testing as requiredSkillsOne to Three (3) years of experience working with social media platformsStrong written and verbal communication skillsVideo editing skills on social media platformsExperience engaging with content on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTubeExcellent problem-solving skillsOrganizations skills, multi-tasking abilitiesCustomer service focusAdaptable and comfortable in a fast-paced work environmentExperience coordinating academically oriented clubs and extra-curricular activitiesFamiliarity with the online learning experienceProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); Web proficiencyAbility to travel 20% of the timeAbility to clear required background checkSome collegeTraining others through social media and or education degree or mass communication degreeExperience supporting adults and children in learning and the use of technologyAn ability to learn new technology tools quickly (e.g. database and web-based tools)Company OverviewStride, Inc.
