They are seeking an SLED/Public Healthcare Account Executive to develop and grow a defined territory, focusing on prospecting, building pipeline, and closing opportunities, while supporting existing accounts in the public sector.ResponsibilitiesExecute a territory plan focused on net‑new logo acquisition and account growth across a defined set of SLED/Public Sector accountsBuild, manage, and progress a qualified sales pipeline, including opportunities you source directly and those supported through channel partnersWork within complex customer organizations, including state, local, and education entities, by identifying key stakeholders, building relationships, and engaging with senior decision‑makersSupport and lead customer engagements through discovery, evaluation, proposal development, and solution alignment, with guidance from Sales Engineers and leadershipDevelop and deliver clear, value‑based proposals that connect Cohesity’s platform to customer security, resilience, compliance, and operational needsNavigate public sector procurement cycles, including RFP/RFI responses, contract vehicles, and purchasing frameworksCollaborate closely with channel partners and technology alliances (including NVIDIA, IBM, HPE, and AWS) to support deal execution and expand market reachMaintain accurate opportunity tracking and forecasting, and contribute to consistent quarterly performanceShare customer insights and competitive feedback with the wider sales and product teams to support continuous improvementSkillsDemonstrated experience selling into and partnering with Information Security / Cybersecurity teams, with a strong understanding of enterprise security frameworks, compliance standards, and the ability to align solutions to customer security and risk requirementsExperience selling into SLED/Public Sector accounts, with knowledge of government procurement processes, contract vehicles, and funding cyclesFamiliarity with public sector compliance and security frameworks (such as FedRAMP, StateRAMP, CJIS, NIST, or similar)A customer‑focused mindset and strong interest in cybersecurity and data protection, especially ransomware and recoveryProven experience selling enterprise technology solutions, ideally within infrastructure, SaaS, or adjacent marketsEvidence of success contributing to net‑new customer acquisition and growing existing accountsFoundational understanding of data security and backup technologies, with a willingness to deepen technical knowledgeStrong communication skills, with the ability to present clearly to customers and internal stakeholdersDemonstrated experience using AI tools to improve productivity, organization, and sales effectivenessBachelor's degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent experienceProfessional English language proficiency for customer and internal communicationWillingness to travel as requiredFamiliarity with Cohesity solutions (DataProtect, DataHawk, SmartFiles) is a plusExposure to platforms such as NetBackup, Backup Exec, or InfoScale is helpful but not requiredComfort working with channel partners, including public sector resellers and system integrators, with an interest in developing co‑selling skillsBenefitsBonus compensationCommission (if in a sales function)Equity grantsHealth and wellness benefitsVacationPaid holidays and refresh days401(k) retirement planLife and disability insurance coveragesOther benefits the Company may offer from time to timeCompany OverviewCohesity is a data management technology firm that offers hyper-converged secondary storage solutions for backups, files, and analytics.
