The SLED Growth Account Manager will lead account renewals and growth, utilizing a strategic approach to enhance client relationships and drive revenue through effective sales tactics.ResponsibilitiesDrive revenue growth by navigating customers (renewal space) and enhancing existing customer relationships through upgradesPosition Skillsoft’s solutions to key decision-makers, influencing their purchasing decisionsCollaborate with cross-functional reps to identify and pursue cross-sell opportunities, while gaining a comprehensive understanding of Skillsoft sales strategiesPartner with VAT (cross-departmental) reps and leaders to drive upsell opportunities using a land-and-expand approachLeverage the unique competitive differentiators of our solution lines to win businessEngage and influence senior leadership prospects to drive decision-making and close dealsWork closely with sales, marketing, and support teams to advance key opportunities and increase market shareTake ownership of meeting preparation, including thorough research, establishing agendas, delivering tailored presentations, and ensuring timely follow-up communicationsDefine measurable business objectives and growth targets related to whitespace opportunities, with clear timelinesProvide management with ongoing feedback on pipeline health, risks, opportunities, and progressSkills2-5 years of professional SLED sales experience preferred, ideally in PaaS, SaaS, B2B, and/or Safety/Legal compliance software, with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experienceSolid understanding of selling into State, Local & Higher Education ContractsProficient in Salesforce and MS Office SuiteExcellent written / verbal communication skills to interact with all levels of leadershipMust reside in Central or East Time Zones to support East Regional clients with the ability to travel up to 10-20%Experience and ability to exceed sales targets, with a deep understanding of the sales cycle and the ability to leverage each stage to drive progressAdvanced knowledge and usage of Salesforce.com for pipeline management and reportingStrong experience in networking within a structured activity model to maximize revenue growthSkilled at creating a client-specific point-of-view aligned to partnering with Skillsoft to drive an improved business outcomeAbility to thrive in a matrixed sales environment, collaborate across teams, and exhibit a positive, winning attitude with an agile mindsetExpertise in negotiating deals based on value, with the ability to close effectively and efficientlyAdept at understanding complex client requirements and articulating solutions that address their needsProactive problem-solver with a strong sense of ownership and accountabilityAdvanced degrees or technical certificationsFamiliarity with MEDDPIC or similar methodologiesBenefitsMedicalDentalVisionPaid time offCompany OverviewSkillsoft provides online learning and e-learning solutions for global enterprises, SMEs, governments and educational institutions.
