The role involves managing client relationships, overseeing technical review of complex fiduciary accountings, and ensuring compliance with EY processes and procedures.ResponsibilitiesTechnical preparation and review of complex trust and estate accountingsPerform complex calculations and reconstruction when requiredResearch of state specific principal and income acts when neededResponsible for managing client relationships and retaining client good willParticipate in weekly sales calls, and client presentations and business development meetings, when requestedProvide timely and effective responses to client needs and compliance requirementsProvide estimates for new accounting work and prepare all required documentation for new engagementsBuild and maintain strong relationships with internal EY groupsFacilitate communications and provide assistance to team members by sharing knowledge, offering advice, and making decisions to meet engagement deliverablesDevelop operational efficiencies to deliver timely high-quality services and work productsContribute to a flexible, stable and team oriented working culture that fosters staff developmentComplete self- study courses to maintain and enhance knowledge of fiduciary accounting and software applications, and to meet Firm continuing education requirementsWork to ensure all projects are properly and timely billed and oversee follow-up with clients regarding bill collectionsSkillsBachelor's degreeCPA, EA, licensed Attorney, Professional Fiduciary or CTFA (Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor) certification5+ years of fiduciary/court accounting experience at a bank, law firm or CPA firm with a proven track record of successfully managing staff and engagementsExcellent technical fiduciary accounting skillsExperience working with complex assets (LLCs, partnerships, alternative investments, etc.) and large trusts and estatesDemonstrated excellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving abilityExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExperienced at reviewing IRS Forms 706, 1041 and K-1sExperience working with family offices a plusUnderstanding of complex investments and fiduciary taxUnderstanding of trust structures and trust terminologyAbility to review and interpret trust agreements and estate planning documentsStrong management and leadership skillsStrong client interaction skillsProficient with software applications, including OneSource Accounting Software FAS; Microsoft Word and ExcelBenefitsMedical and dental coveragePension and 401(k) plansA wide range of paid time off optionsHybrid model with expectation to work in person 60% of the timeFlexible vacation policyTime off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absenceCompany OverviewEY is building a better working world by creating new value for clients, people, society, the planet, while building trust in the capital markets.
