They are seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead complex technology programs, ensuring strategic alignment and high-quality delivery across a distributed engineering organization.ResponsibilitiesLead planning, governance, and execution of a portfolio of cross-functional technical programsEstablish portfolio-level visibility into program health, risks, dependencies, and milestonesDefine and implement PMO frameworks, methodologies, and operating standardsDrive prioritization, sequencing, and trade-off decisions across multiple programsTranslate strategic business objectives into structured program plans with defined outcomes and success metricsManage cross-program dependencies and coordinate resolution of risks across teams and stakeholdersDevelop and maintain executive-level reporting, dashboards, and program narrativesLead portfolio planning cycles, aligning resource capacity with program demandPartner with engineering, product, and business leaders to ensure delivery alignmentDrive continuous improvement of program management processes, tools, and reporting practicesMentor and develop program and project managers, establishing best practices across the PMOEnsure consistent execution practices across multiple teams, vendors, and environmentsSkillsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related fieldA minimum of 12+ years of experience in technical project, program, or portfolio managementAt least 5+ years operating at a program or portfolio leadership levelProven experience managing complex, multi-year initiatives across cross-functional teamsExperience building or leading a PMO or similar governance functionDemonstrated success managing large-scale, multi-stakeholder programs in dynamic environmentsStrong interpersonal skills and ability to influence senior stakeholdersProven ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional and global teamsExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level reportingStrong organizational and strategic thinking capabilitiesHigh attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and accountabilityAbility to manage ambiguity and drive structured outcomes in fast-paced environmentsStrong problem-solving and decision-making skillsAbility to work in a standard office environment and use a computer for extended periodsAbility to collaborate across global teams and time zonesWillingness to travel occasionally for stakeholder meetings, partner engagements, and program reviewsAbility to support work in technical environments (e.g., labs, operations centers) as neededMaster's degree (MS, MBA, or equivalent)Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PgMP, SAFe) are a plusExperience managing programs in telecommunications, networking, or large-scale infrastructure environmentsFamiliarity with multi-vendor, multi-region delivery modelsExperience with system integration, deployment, and cross-domain coordinationExperience working with executive stakeholders on strategic planning and decision-makingExposure to scaling program management practices across growing organizationsExperience implementing program management tools at scaleCompany OverviewAST SpaceMobile is a space-based broadband cellular network company for unmodified mobile devices.
