[Remote] Senior Technical Product Manager

In this role, you will define and evolve the systems and services that power and support one of the most trusted brands in entertainment, collaborating closely with various stakeholders to deliver scalable features.ResponsibilitiesOwn and lead product strategy for Rotten Tomatoes backend server-side functionality, including:Discovery, search, and personalizationReviews, scoring, and ratings systemsInternal tools and platform capabilitiesPartner cross-functionally with Engineering, Business, Marketing, Program Management, UX/Product Design, Research, and Decision SciencesCollaborate closely with client-side Product Managers to define and deliver server-side capabilities and APIs that support frontend experiencesIdentify the frontend platform needs, technical trends, and market opportunities to evolve and scale the platformWrite clear, detailed, and thorough technical product requirements for Engineering and QA teamsOwn prioritization, roadmap planning, and backlog management, and clearly communicate priorities and trade-offsGuide initiatives from concept through development, iteration, and launchDefine and track KPIs and success metrics, using data to inform decisions and measure impactServe as a subject matter expert on the Rotten Tomatoes backend architecture, systems, and technical capabilitiesSkills5+ years of product management experience, ideally in a technical or platform-focused roleBachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience; Computer Science or Engineering background a plusHands-on experience with server-side services, APIs, and distributed systemsStrong ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiencesProven ownership mindset with a track record of driving initiatives to completionExcellent prioritization skills, comfortable managing multiple workstreams and shifting prioritiesDeep understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies, including epics, user stories, backlog grooming, sprint planning, and estimationExperience using JIRA and ConfluenceTeam-oriented, collaborative, and professional with a positive attitudeStrong interest in or passion for entertainment, streaming, and video-on-demandExperience with analytics, reporting, or partner integrations is a plusBenefitsHealth insuranceRetirement plansPaid time offCompany OverviewVersant Media is a media company that offers television and digital entertainment services.
