[Remote] Senior Tax Analyst

This role will involve corporate tax compliance and reporting, tax audits, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure tax considerations are integrated into business decisions and processes.ResponsibilitiesAssist in the preparation of the tax provision (ASC 740), including current and deferred tax calculations for a public companyAssist in the preparation of federal, state, and international income tax returns, estimates, and extensionsPrepare and review quarterly and annual income tax provisions in accordance with US GAAPSupport the preparation of tax-related disclosures for SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q), including footnote preparation and management review supportPrepare and maintain monthly tax account reconciliationsMaintain tax information, records, and documentation to support audit-ready workpapersAssist with components of IRS and state income tax audits, including preparation of responses and supporting documentationCoordinate with external advisors and legal counsel on tax audit matters and controversy resolutionMonitor and analyze existing and proposed tax legislation; assess and communicate impact to the businessResearch complex tax issues and prepare technical documentation and memorandaSupport tax planning initiatives, including analysis of business transactions, restructurings, and new business modelsAssist with merger and acquisition (M&A) due diligence and integration tax planningSupport federal and state R&D tax credit calculations and related documentationAssist with other ad hoc projects and special tax analyses as neededPartner with Accounting, FP&A, Legal, and Operations teams to ensure tax considerations are integrated into business decisions and processesCollaborate with the Payroll and HR teams on employment tax matters, equity compensation (RSUs, stock options), and related reporting (W-2, 1099)Work with the Treasury team on cash tax forecasting, intercompany transactions, and transfer pricing supportCoordinate with the IT and Finance Systems teams to support tax data integrity and reporting automationLiaise with external auditors during the year-end audit process to support tax-related inquiries and deliverablesSupport the Tax Manager in communicating tax positions and requirements to senior leadership and cross-departmental stakeholdersSkillsA bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline5+ years of relevant experience, including public accounting and/or industry (ideally in technology or SaaS)Strong knowledge of ASC 740 (income tax accounting) and US GAAPProficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets for tax modeling and analysisExperience with tax compliance and provision software (e.g., OneSource, CorpTax, or similar platforms)Familiarity with ERP systems; experience with Workday Financials is a plusUnderstanding of transfer pricing concepts and intercompany transaction documentationExposure to state and local tax (SALT) compliance and nexus analysisStrong project management skills with the ability to work independently, multi-task, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentAbility to quickly understand and integrate business objectives with tax strategies, and effectively communicate tax requirements to non-tax audiencesDemonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and build relationships across departmentsHigh level of genuine curiosity, intellectual rigor, and an eagerness to learnStrong analytical capabilities, professional judgment, and meticulous attention to detail and accuracyCPA and/or Master's in Taxation strongly preferredPrior experience in a publicly traded company environment is a plusBenefitsFlexible time off with ample learning and development opportunities to continue growing your career.We offer a comprehensive onboarding program, leadership training for Titans at all levels, and other programs and events.Great work is rewarded through Bonusly, peer-nominated awards, and more.Company-paid medical, dental, and vision (with 100% employer paid options and 90% coverage for dependents)FSA and HSA401k matchTelehealth options including memberships to One Medical.Parental leave and supportUp to $20k in fertility services (i.e. IUI and IVF)Surrogacy, and adoption reimbursementOn demand maternity support through Maven MaternityFree breast milk shipping through Maven MilkPet insuranceLegal advisory servicesFinancial planning toolsCompany OverviewServiceTitan is a software solution that manages operations for businesses in the home service industry, including scheduling and invoicing.
