[Remote] Senior Solutions Engineer - Automotive Production

They are seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer - Automotive Production to support Sales by providing insights and knowledge from the automotive and production engineering community, ensuring alignment with customer projects and Xometry's capabilities.ResponsibilitiesPartner with Account Executives to drive account growth and retentionDiscover, illuminate, digest, organize and execute major projectsJoin Account Executives in onsite visits with customers when appropriateProactively identify and address potential manufacturing challenges (including DFM)Stay informed about upcoming customer projects and initiatives to ensure alignment with Xometry's capabilitiesGather customer insights and feedback to inform sales strategiesAssist Pre-Sales Engineering with knowledge gathering, digestion, and ultimately compiling correct and competitive quotesCombine customer knowledge, Xometry partner knowledge, and Xometry system knowledge to rapidly address customer needs and shepherd projects to deliveryProvide project management and oversight on complex opportunitiesFully own, from Discovery to Execution, 3-5 major projectsCreate, organize and demonstrate cost breakdowns and statement of work documentsSkills10+ years of relevant experience in automotive manufacturing and program management rolesA bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar is requiredExperience using Xometry's services from a customer perspective. Partner perspective is a bonusDeep familiarity with the methods, materials, culture and products of organizations such as Lucid, Rivian, Tesla, Ford, GM and their suppliers/partnersStrong understanding of manufacturing principles, including drawings and GDTParticularly strong experience in Injection Molding required. Stamping, Castings, Forgings and other common production methods are bonusFamiliarity with ISO9001, IATF 16949, APQP/PPAP and other industry certifications and practicesExcellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
