As a Senior Software Engineer on the Tracking Team, you will be responsible for delivering machine learning solutions to tracking challenges within the self-driving system and contributing to the design and delivery of algorithms and models for real-time applications.ResponsibilitiesWork in a team to deliver state-of-the-art closed- and open- world tracking systems for L4 self-driving vehiclesContribute to the technical direction of the tracking team and broader perception orgWrite robust software for real-time, resource-constrained, safety-critical applicationsDrive highly cross-functional features and work streams from problem statement to deliveryProactively identify limitations with the existing perception system and drive improvementsRoot-cause issues that arise onboard, and provide solutionsAlign stakeholders with strong presentation and communication skillsLead challenging technical topics and build consensusSkillsExperience architecting, training, and deploying ML models into real-world environmentsTrack record of driving applied research projects from start to completion, including conception, problem definition, experimentation, iteration, and finally publication or productizationExperience delivering perception/tracking solutions for real-time robotic applicationsKnowledge and experience employing advanced probabilistic algorithms to solve problems involving uncertain inputs and imperfect modelsStrong experience in software engineering and algorithm designFluency in Python and C++Company OverviewStack AV operates in the transportation industry that develops advanced autonomous systems.
