[Remote] Senior Software Engineer - Hogan

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. M&T Bank is seeking a highly skilled Hogan Senior Software Engineer to join their engineering team. In this role, you will enhance and support the Bank’s Core Deposits systems and play a key part in the modernization of their mainframe ecosystem.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain high‑quality Hogan IDS / CIS / UMB / RPM applications and batch processesWork extensively with HOGAN, JCL, JSCAN, EZTRIEVE, VSAM, TSO Utilities, CA7, FILEAID, XPEDITER, and ABEND-AIDLeverage our DevOps pipeline to build, test and deploy codeTroubleshoot complex production issues, ensuring reliability and performance of mission‑critical systemsLeverage and deploy API sets via zOS Connect and REST servicesCollaborate with cross-functional teams on analysis, design, testing, and implementation of solutionsLeverage IBM’s new zDIH technology to improve data integration, analytics accessibility, and modernization initiativesReceive mentoring from our most senior engineers—experts with decades of mainframe experience—and progressively mentor junior team membersParticipate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and continuous improvement of engineering practicesSkillsAssociate's degree and a minimum of 5 years' systems analysis and/ or application development work experience or Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years' systems analysis and/ or application development work experience.
