They are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to build full-stack applications that enhance the productivity of Compliance Agents through AI-first tools and third-party integrations.ResponsibilitiesBuild end-to-end user-facing features using Golang, React, and cloud technologies, delivering AI-first compliance tooling that improves agent productivity and KYC process accuracyLead assessment, selection, and implementation of third-party tools and vendor integrations into the compliance agent experience platformDrive cross-functional delivery of complex technical solutions in collaboration with product, design, security, data, and peer engineering teamsStrengthen Coinbase's platform by building upon existing development practices and technical domains to deliver improvements that benefit multiple teams across the organizationIdentify potential issues before they reach production and adapt your approach proactively, working within constraints to avoid adverse impact on Tier-1 compliance systemsMentor engineers in full-stack design techniques, coding best practices, testing, release and deployment processes, documentation, and observability (metrics, logging, tracing)Skills5+ years of software engineering experience developing large-scale systems with Golang and React, shipping user-facing features on cloud infrastructure (AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, BuildKite or similar)Demonstrated experience with third-party vendor integrations, including assessment, implementation, and ongoing operational management of external platformsProven track record building and operating large-scale, high-traffic platforms with hands-on experience in rate limiters, caching, load balancing, circuit breakers, and distributed debuggingProficiency in event-driven architectures (Kafka, MQ), SQL or NoSQL databases, and service communication patterns (gRPC, GraphQL, ETL), with experience authoring and contributing to technical architecture decisionsExperience working across distributed teams and time zones, translating complex technical concepts into clear narratives for both technical and non-technical stakeholdersUtilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and qualityBenefitsEquityBonus eligibilityBenefits (medical, dental, vision, 401(k))Company OverviewCoinbase is a crypto exchange and wallet platform that allows merchants and consumers to buy, sell, and store digital currencies.
