[Remote] Senior Software Engineer, Data Platform

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Data Platform team, you will own the data infrastructure components that support the SentiLink suite of products and collaborate with various teams to enhance the data platform for fraud detection products.ResponsibilitiesBuild, expand, and optimize data infrastructure in order to create the most accurate dataset of identities and their relationshipsDevelop and operate secure, scalable, and reliable data ingestion and ETL/ELT pipelines that meet product requirementsDesign and maintain a data observability framework to ensure our data meets strict quality and freshness standardsOptimize data storage layer and build/maintain interfaces to enable scalable and fast data access to our data storesCollaborate with product teams (squads) supporting their data platform needs for smooth delivery of existing and new productsParticipate in call rotation for production issues, along with the rest of engineeringMentor junior engineers and contribute to our evolving engineering best practicesDrive innovation by actively participating in our hackathons and doing proof of conceptsDevelop functional subject matter expertise within various areas of identity fraud domainSkills5+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering or related fieldProficient in in python or golang and related technologies and frameworksExpertise in building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines at scale leveraging distributed data processing technologies like spark, hadoop, kafka or similar technologiesHands-on experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure or GCPDeep understanding of different database technologies including but not limited to RDBMS (e.g. postgres), NoSQL (OpenSearch, vector DB), Columnar data stores etc. and experience with writing efficient queries and optimization techniquesExperience building enterprise grade, scalable, containerized data services and frameworks on Kubernetes or similar platformsWorking knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code and devops practicesExcellent analytical and problem solving skills, interpersonal skills and a sense of humor (enjoy the journey)Self organized and ability to work independently and with ambiguityExperience working in a scrum / Agile development environmentCandidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must live in the United StatesExperience working with Spark/EMRBuilt streaming applicationsExperience with AWS technologies such as EKS, SQS/SNS, EMR, Redshift, S3 etcPrior experience working in a fintech startupBenefitsEmployer paid group health insurance for you and your dependents401(k) plan with employer match (or equivalent for non US-based roles)Flexible paid time offRegular company-wide in-person eventsHome office stipend, and more!Company OverviewSentiLink is an identity verification technology company that helps in detecting and blocking synthetic identities.
