[Remote] Senior Software Engineer, Backend (Developer - Stablecoin Ecosystem)

Coinbase is on a mission to increase economic freedom in the world, and they are seeking a Senior Software Engineer for their Stablecoin team. This role involves driving projects that enhance the stablecoin ecosystem, including building platforms for stablecoin issuance and utility across various Coinbase products. Responsibilities • Develop new services to meet critical product and business needs using industry best practices. • Architect and design scalable systems to solve novel problems. • Define a long-term vision for maintaining and scaling our backend systems and teams. • Collaborate with engineers, designers, product managers, and senior leadership to turn our vision into a quarterly roadmap. • Serve as a technical lead and subject matter expert. • Write high-quality, well-tested code to meet customer needs. Skills • Minimum 5 years of experience in software engineering • Experience designing, building, scaling, and maintaining production services, and knowledge of service-oriented architecture • Proficiency in writing high-quality, well-tested code • Passion for building an open financial system that brings the world together • Leadership skills to develop other engineers • Experience in rapid company growth (from startup to mid-size) • Familiarity with growth experiments or A/B testing frameworks • Experience with Blockchain technology (e.g., Bitcoin, Ethereum) • Experience decomposing a large monolith into microservices • Proficiency with Golang, Ruby, Docker, Rails, Postgres, MongoDB, or DynamoDB • Experience in building financial, high-reliability, or security systems Benefits • Bonus eligibility • Equity eligibility • Benefits (including medical, dental, vision and 401(k)) Company Overview • Coinbase is a crypto exchange and wallet platform that allows merchants and consumers to buy, sell, and store digital currencies.
