[Remote] Senior Software Engineer, AI Products & Agents
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Paramount is on a mission to unleash the power of content and is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for their Data Products Team. In this role, you will architect and build internal web applications, design backend services, and mentor junior engineers while driving features from concept to production.ResponsibilitiesArchitect and build internal web applications using NextJS and FastAPIDesign and own backend services and REST APIs that power automation tools and AI-driven featuresPartner with data engineers to integrate BigQuery pipelines and metadata systems into user-facing productsDrive features from concept through production, owning technical design, implementation, and reliabilitySolve ambiguous problems across the stack, balancing delivery speed with maintainabilityMentor junior engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and technical guidanceDefine and champion engineering standards around code quality, testing, and system designShape the technical roadmap and architectural decisions as the team scalesSkills5+ years of software development experience building internal tools or data-driven applicationsStrong proficiency in Python and modern JavaScript/TypeScriptExperience architecting production web applications with React or NextJSExperience designing and scaling REST APIs (FastAPI, or similar)Deep knowledge with SQL and cloud data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake), including performance optimizationProven ability to own systems end-to-end: design, deployment, monitoring, and iterationExperience mentoring engineers and spearheading engineering standardsStrong communication skills with non-technical stakeholdersExperience with workflow orchestration systems (Airflow, Prefect, Dagster) at scaleHands-on experience building production AI solutions, including agents, agentic workflows, and RAG systemsDeep knowledge with LLM frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, Google ADK) and their tradeoffsExperience integrating LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini) into production, including prompt engineering and cost managementStrong background in containerization and cloud infrastructure (Docker, Kubernetes, GCP/AWS)Background in data engineering, pipeline design, and building tooling for analystsExperience in media, entertainment, or streaming industriesBenefitsMedicalDentalVision401(k) planLife insurance coverageDisability benefitsTuition assistance programPTOBonus eligibleGenerous paid time off.An exciting and fulfilling opportunity to be part of one of Paramount’s most dynamic teams.Opportunities for both on-site and virtual engagement events.Unique opportunities to make meaningful connections and build a vibrant community, both inside and outside the workplace.Company OverviewParamount is a leading media and entertainment company that creates premium content and experiences for audiences worldwide.
