They are seeking experienced Senior Software Developers to support a high-impact federal modernization initiative, focusing on developing and modernizing IT systems in a fully remote work environment.ResponsibilitiesDevelop, create, and modify general computer applications software or specialized utility programsMigrate and modernize all current-system functionality from legacy mainframe systems into cloud-native microservices operating within AWS GovCloudParticipate in the operation and support of an enterprise-scale production system, including identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving system issues in collaboration with the ARTAnalyze user needs and develop software solutionsAnalyze and design databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a teamApply principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysisMigrate and modernize all current-system functionality from legacy mainframe systems into cloud-native microservices operating within AWS GovCloudSkillsBachelor's Degree with a minimum of 8 years of work experience or associate's degree with a minimum of 12 years of experienceActive Tier 3 Secret clearanceExperience working within an Agile framework, actively contributing to sprint planning, backlog refinement, and Cl/CD Pipeline5+ years' experience with Java Object-Oriented Programming5+ years' experience with Kubernetes and containers; automating the deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applicationsExperience designing, building, and operating cloud-native architecture within secure, regulated environmentsExperience designing and supporting event-driven architectures with an emphasis on reliability, scalability, and fault tolerance5+ years of hands-on experience with three or more of the following: Apache Kafka, Pub/Sub (Publish, subscribe), Streaming, Event sources, Running GitOps (GitLab, Git, Bitbucket, ArgoCD, Tecton, etc.) within version control tools, Atlassian Tool Suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) for version control managementAbility for on-call support.
