They are seeking a Senior Social Media Marketing Specialist to create engaging content, manage social media presence, and develop strategies to enhance brand awareness and community engagement.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and curate engaging content for various platforms, including blogs and social media channels, collaborating with marketing, community, and design teamsManage and grow our social media presence across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTokFoster a safe and inclusive environment within the communityBuild and foster relationships with followers through active engagement, responding to comments, and facilitating discussionsMonitor and analyze social media metrics to assess the effectiveness of campaigns and strategies, providing insights for improvementGather insights and data from the community to inform future content and marketing strategies, ensuring alignment with audience needsSupervise the work of the Social Media SpecialistCollaborate with marketing and communications teams to create and execute social media campaigns that align with organizational goalsOversee the creation and implementation of the monthly content calendar, which includes monthly organizational objectives and initiativesStay updated on industry trends, emerging platforms, and best practices in social media and community engagementEnsure progress on all platforms by using analytical tools such as Google Analytics and othersSkills5+ years of experience working as a Social Media Specialist, ideally in a non-profit, social impact, or volunteer-driven contextExceptional communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to craft compelling, on-brand content across a variety of formats (articles, videos, social media, etc.)Strong design and video editing skills with the ability to create independent contentIn-depth knowledge of Buddhism and Mingyur Rinpoche's teaching and meditation-related topicsData-driven mindset, with the ability to analyze community engagement metrics and user behavior to inform content strategyExcellent knowledge of Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and other social media best practicesHands-on experience with content management systems, email marketing platforms, and social media publishing tools. Strong technical aptitudeProject management chops, able to juggle multiple competing priorities and deadlines while keeping the content engine running smoothlyPassion for our mission and a deep understanding of our target audiences and their needs.
