They are seeking a Senior Security Engineer to design, implement, and manage firewall policies, with a focus on Palo Alto and Checkpoint firewalls, as well as Prisma Access deployment and management.ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and manage firewall policies across Palo Alto and Checkpoint (Cloud) virtual firewallsConfigure and optimize firewall rules to meet business and security requirementsImplement security best practices for firewall configurations and policy managementConfigure and manage Prisma Access for secure remote access and cloud-delivered security servicesImplement and optimize Prisma Access policies and configurationsIntegrate Prisma Access with existing security infrastructureUtilize Strata Cloud Manager for centralized firewall management and configurationLeverage Palo Alto Networks Panorama for policy deployment and management across multiple firewallsManage Checkpoint Cloud configurations through centralized management platformsProcess and implement firewall change requests following change control proceduresTroubleshoot firewall connectivity and policy issuesPerform firewall configuration updates and enhancementsCollaborate with network and security teams on firewall-related projectsUtilize Strata Cloud Manager and FireMon Security Manager for configuration managementLeverage existing tools for policy deployment and operational efficiencySkills5+ years of Network Security experience (Enterprise network experience preferred)Strong/Expert Level Palo Alto and Checkpoint (Cloud) firewall configuration/engineering experienceHands-on experience with Prisma Access configuration and deploymentUser Experience with Palo Alto Networks Panorama for centralized managementPalo Alto Networks Certified Cybersecurity Associate (PCCSA) or higher certificationStrong Routing and Switching knowledge with Firewall integrationExperience managing Large Firewall Deployments (50+ Firewalls)User Experience with Splunk for log analysis and troubleshootingStrata Cloud Manager experience (strong plus)FireMon Security Manager and Other ModulesTufin or Similar Firewall Automation ExperienceAzure Networking ExperienceExperience with Palo Alto Networks Automation Tools (e.g., Palo Alto Networks Automation API, Terraform)Integration experience with Palo Alto Networks and other security solutions (e.g., Threat Prevention, URL Filtering, DNS Security)Experience with firewall rule optimization and cleanup projectsBenefitsRemote workforce primarily (U.S. based only, some travel may be required for certain positions, working on-site may be required for Federal positions)Group Medical Insurance options: Zero Deductible PPO Plan (GuidePoint pays 90% of the premium for employees and 70% for family plans (spouse/children/family) or High Deductible Health Plan with HSA (GuidePoint pays 100% of the employees premiums and 75% for family plans (spouse/children/family).
