[Remote] Senior Scientist - Computational Biology / Bioinformatics

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. SPECTRAFOR is seeking a highly motivated Computational Biologist to join their Center for Technology & Innovation department. The role involves performing analyses of prostate cancer biomarker datasets, writing clean code for scientific objectives, and engaging in discussions to improve analyses. Responsibilities • Perform analyses of prostate cancer exploratory biomarker datasets to understand association between baseline and on-treatment biomarker changes with safety and efficacy endpoints • Document, refactor, and write clean R/tidyverse code to accomplish scientific objectives set by Precision Medicine and global development leadership • Engage in scientific discussion and iteration with hiring manager and technical review SMEs to revise and improve code and analyses Skills • PhD in Bioinformatics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science • Significant experience in bioinformatics, applied mathematics and/or statistics, including linear mixed effects models, to analyze multi-modal, multi-dimensional and large-scale biological data • A working knowledge and experience of Machine Learning and AI technologies. Experience applying ML/AI in clinical trial settings is a plus • A working knowledge of platforms and readouts utilized for the assessment of clinical biomarkers including flow cytometry, IHC, NGS, immunoassays, imaging, and transcriptional profiling assays • Ability to translate biological and medical questions into analytical models providing actionable results • Deep knowledge of prostate indications • Programming experience in R & Python and familiarity with tidyverse principles • Familiarity with assay development and qualification requirements for clinical trial support • Ability to work in a highly matrixed environment and drive scientific and technical innovation collaboratively with other members of the group, as well as with The Organization research community • Three or more years of relevant experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry • Strong written and oral communication skills, self-motivation, independence, and leadership • Basic Qualifications Doctorate degree PhD OR PharmD OR MD and 2 years of Experience OR Masters degree and 5 years of experience OR Bachelors degree and 7 years of experience Company Overview • Welcome to SPECTRAFORCE, your gateway to NEWJOBPHORIA™!
