[Remote] Senior Sales Engineer - AirDial

The Senior Sales Engineer for AirDial will support resellers in pre-sale and implementation, focusing on technical solution design and compliance for POTS line replacement opportunities.ResponsibilitiesServe as subject matter expert on POTS line replacement, including deep knowledge of competitor products and featuresEngage directly with code enforcement and AHJs on behalf of resellers to remediate compliance issues for life-safety AirDial deployments; conduct on-site demonstrations as needed to gain jurisdictional approvalRespond to customer cyber and risk assessment evaluations specific to AirDial deploymentsOwn proof-of-concept(PoC) deployments for strategic reseller opportunitiesLead technical sections of RFP responses for AirDial opportunitiesTranslate reseller requirements into formal product requests and maintain AirDial documentation for implementation and support teamsDevelop and deliver AirDial technical training and demos for resellers, partners, and internal teamsCollaborate with product and marketing teams to create market-specific content that differentiates AirDialUtilizing AI to find new and innovative ways to streamline processes and automationSkills3+ years' experience with communication systems supporting life-safety functions (fire alarm panels, elevators, areas of refuge, βredβ phones)3+ years hands-on installation and support of analog POTS and POTS line replacement solutions, including packet-based systems for life-safety communications2+ years of customer-facing IP network and VoIP advanced support in a cloud-based service provider environmentDirect experience responding to end-customer cyber and risk assessmentsDirect experience with code compliance and enforcement at state, county, and municipal levels for fire-life-safety and elevator/lift communicationsStrong telephony installation and low-voltage wiring skills (discovery, testing, termination, cable management)Working knowledge of fire panels, call boxes, and elevator controllers, including protocols and analog telephone interconnectionDetailed knowledge of fire-life safety compliance at NFPA, state, and local levelsAbility to work flexible hours and travel to customer sites in North America on short noticeExcellent written and oral communication skills, including ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiencesSelf-starter requiring minimal day-to-day oversightBachelor's degree from an ABET-accredited institution in a technical discipline preferred; AA degree with relevant experience consideredBenefitsBonus(es)Sales incentive(s) (target included in OTE)Stock in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs)Company OverviewOoma delivers phone, messaging, video and advanced communications services that are easy to implement and provide great value.
