[Remote] Senior Sales Engineer

The Senior Sales Engineer will serve as a key technical advisor in the sales cycle, delivering tailored demos and guiding prospects through implementation readiness while collaborating with various teams to ensure successful customer outcomes.ResponsibilitiesBuild and deliver tailored product demos and technical presentations to executives, business users, data teams, and ITClearly communicate the value, differentiation, and architecture of Strategy’s platform versus competing analytics and data solutionsLead technical and business conversations with senior IT and business decision makers; confidently handle objections and challenging situationsCoordinate pre‑ and post‑sales activities with Sales, Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and Professional Services to ensure smooth handoffs and successful implementationsPartner with Product Management and Engineering to relay customer feedback and influence the product roadmapParticipate in Strategy’s annual conference and marketing events, representing Strategy as a subject‑matter expertContribute best practices, competitive insights, and reusable assets to the Sales Engineering communitySkillsBS degree and 5+ years of related experience (presales, sales, consulting, marketing, or training)Experience with Business Analytics/BI or relational databases a strong plusStrong verbal and written communication skills; able to translate technical concepts into business value for all audiencesProven ability to solve complex technical problems in complex customer environmentsExcellent organization and time management; experience leading project workstreamsSuccessful completion of Strategy certification upon employmentCandidates should be located on the East Coast, as the role requires travel to clients throughout the regionSolid SQL and relational database knowledgeFamiliarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Databricks, Azure Synapse)Experience with ETL/ELT and data integration tools (e.g., dbt, Informatica, Talend, Fivetran, Matillion) or custom pipelinesUnderstanding of data modeling (star/snowflake schemas, dimensional modeling) and data governance/security (RBAC, auditing, PII)Exceptional presentation and communication skills for C-level, business, and technical audiencesStrategic and tactical problem solver with a consultative, customer-centric mindsetComfortable owning outcomes in complex, multi-stakeholder environmentsNice-to-have: exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP, and designing architectures that combine analytics platforms with cloud data warehouses/lakes and enterprise systems; familiarity with APIs and integration patternsCompany OverviewStrategy provides enterprise software for business intelligence, mobile intelligence, and network applications.
