Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Zurich North America is currently looking for a Senior Construction Risk Engineering Consultant for the Casualty Lines of Business. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high quality construction consultative services and leveraging risk engineering tools to improve customer risk management.ResponsibilitiesAdapting Zurich's Innovative Solutions to the Construction Industry with the objective of minimizing impacts to customer losses, and overall improvement of Sustainability & Business Resiliency at the Corporate LevelLeveraging Zurichโ€™s risk engineering tools and services to improve customer risk and general account management of customers who purchase Zurich Construction Insurance products such as: Workers Compensation, General Liability and Auto LiabilityDelivering high quality construction consultative services for customers, including identifying exposures and program risk control gaps to form the basis of risk mitigation recommendations, investigation of cause/effect of major losses for hazard/safety management programsDeveloping and maintaining positive customer and business partner relationships and collaborate with both customers and business partners to develop appropriate service plansMarketing and selling a wide range of fee services to customers that support their risk mitigation effortsProducing advanced level presentations and delivering risk management training for customers and internal business partnersProviding appropriate risk improvement advice, conduct loss investigations (including both trend and root cause analysis), and implement risk improvement programsAssisting customers with developing corporate and project specific QA/QC plans, safety plans, investigating construction defects when applicable, building envelope reviews and moisture mitigation identificationParticipate in Sales Team meetings and presentations to brokers and customers while contributing to fee income sales through opportunity spotting and cross-sellingSkillsBachelor's degree and 6 or more years of experience in the Construction Risk Engineering, Safety/ Risk Management, or Construction Field OperationsHigh School Diploma or Equivalent and 8 or more years of experience in the Construction Risk Engineering, Safety/ Risk Management, or Construction Field OperationsExperience working in a team environmentConstruction Safety/Risk preferrable with Project Management, and/or Superintendent experience- mid to senior level positionRegulated and Non-Regulated Fleet ExperienceData Center construction experienceLarge commercial construction experience with industrial, medical, and educational projectsAdvanced level knowledge of construction safety, operations, quality management and associated construction risks and exposuresProfessional certifications such as: CRIS, ARM, CHST, CSP, ASP, P.E. etcHave a high level of computer literacy and be proficient in Microsoft Office and IOS platformsProficiency in technical writing to create customer and internal business partner work productsBe experienced working in both independent and team environmentsExcellent interpersonal, communication and consulting skills with the ability to communicate and consult at both the corporate and project site levels effectively and professionallyLeadership and involvement in extracurricular activities, organizations and/or community, public service, or similar activitiesWillingness to embrace the Zurich Basics, including our values of integrity, Sustainability, Customer Centricity, Excellence and TeamworkBenefitsShort-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 15%Company carRemote work from home roleCompetitive pay and comprehensive benefits for employees and their familiesCompany OverviewZurich American Insurance is an international commercial property-casualty insurance provider.
