[Remote] Senior Revenue Accountant

The Senior Revenue Accountant will support the revenue accounting function and ensure compliance with ASC 606, handling contract reviews, month-end close activities, and cross-functional collaboration.ResponsibilitiesPrepare revenue contract reviews and first-pass ASC 606 analyses for new contracts, renewals, amendments, and non-standard arrangements, including identification of key revenue recognition considerationsSupport monthly and quarterly revenue close activities, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, deferred revenue rollforwards, revenue schedules, commission capitalization and calculations, flux analyses, and other close deliverablesPrepare and maintain revenue accounting documentation, including ASC 606 analyses, contract review conclusions, technical accounting memos, SSP support, and revenue-related financial statement disclosure supportSupport the ongoing operation and enhancement of revenue recognition systems and processes, including NetSuite ARM or similar revenue automation toolsSupport the execution and documentation of internal controls over revenue recognitionPartner cross-functionally with Revenue Operations, Deal Desk, Billing & Collections, FP&A, Legal, IT Business Applications, and other teams to resolve revenue accounting matters and support accurate reportingParticipate in process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of revenue accounting processesSkillsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field3+ years of accounting experience, including 1–2+ years of revenue accounting, revenue recognition, or related ASC 606 experienceWorking knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition principles; SaaS and Professional Services experience strongly preferredExperience preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, revenue schedules, commission calculations, and month-end close deliverablesStrong Excel and analytical skills, with attention to detail and ability to work with large data setsAbility to research accounting issues, document conclusions clearly, and escalate complex matters appropriatelyStrong communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional business partnersExposure to contract review, order forms, amendments, renewals, or non-standard deal terms preferredExperience with NetSuite, NetSuite ARM, Salesforce, FloQast, or similar accounting / revenue systems preferredPublic accounting or audit experience is a plus, but not requiredBenefitsWe offer Gongsters a variety of medical, dental, and vision plans, designed to fit you and your family’s needs.Wellbeing Fund - flexible wellness stipend to support a healthy lifestyle.Mental Health benefits with covered therapy and coaching.401(k) program to help you invest in your future.Education & learning stipend for personal growth and development.Flexible vacation time to promote a healthy work-life blend.Paid parental leave to support you and your family.Company-wide recharge days each quarter.Work from home stipend to help you succeed in a remote environment.Company OverviewGong is a technology company that offers a revenue intelligence platform using AI to analyze customer interactions.
