[Remote] Senior Quality Assurance Engineer (One Year Contract)

They are seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to play a critical role in ensuring the success of their clients by leading functional test design and collaborating with various teams to ensure quality across products.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Own and drive functional test design for the platform by creating and maintaining Zephyr test cases based on product and technical documentation in Atlassian Confluence
ā¢ Partner closely with Product Leads to ensure requirements are clearly understood, testable, and fully validated
ā¢ Track, report, and analyze software defects to resolve problems
ā¢ Collaborate with the Product, Testing and Engineering teams to align manual test cases with automated test coverage and overall quality strategy
ā¢ Establish and maintain a structured, traceable testing framework within JIRA and Zephyr, ensuring clear coverage and accountability
ā¢ Execute and oversee end-to-end testing across hardware, cloud services, and web applications
ā¢ Validate that data observed on hardware consoles aligns with behavior and data displayed in the cloud platform and web UI
ā¢ Develop a deep understanding of device configuration options, system states, and expected behaviors to ensure accurate test coverage
ā¢ Identify gaps, risks, and edge cases early, communicating quality concerns clearly to product and engineering stakeholders
ā¢ Continuously improve QA processes, documentation quality, and test effectiveness across releases
Skills
ā¢ 5+ years of quality assurance experience, including ownership of test planning and execution for complex platforms
ā¢ Proven experience in Agile methodologies with the scrum implementation
ā¢ Strong hands-on experience working in JIRA and Zephyr, including authoring, organizing, and managing test cases
ā¢ Proven ability to read, interpret, and validate product and technical documentation (Confluence)
ā¢ Experience testing web-based cloud platforms, including data validation across UI, APIs, and backend systems
ā¢ Comfort working with hardware-integrated systems, including hands-on interaction with physical devices and configuration interfaces
ā¢ Strong attention to detail and a structured, methodical approach to test design
ā¢ Ability to collaborate effectively with Product, Engineering, and QA Automation roles
ā¢ Experience working in regulated environments is highly preferred
ā¢ Bonus : Experience with petroleum-based or environmental compliance testing
