[Remote] Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

They are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Senior QA Engineer to own test planning and execution, collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering, and blend manual testing with automation to ensure high-quality product experiences.ResponsibilitiesPartner with Product to translate requirements into clear test plans, test cases, and acceptance criteriaExecute functional, regression, smoke, and exploratory testing across UI and APIsBuild and maintain automated tests (UI and/or API) to strengthen our CI pipelineValidate data flows and edge cases (e.g., time & attendance, scheduling, compliance logic)Own defect lifecycle: reproduce, log with strong detail, prioritize, and verify fixesSet up and manage test data and environments; ensure repeatable, reliable runsPerform cross-browser and responsive testing; validate accessibility basicsContribute to release readiness: test summaries, go/no-go inputs, and post-release validationTrack and improve quality metrics (escape rate, flaky tests, test coverage, MTTR)Document testing approaches, playbooks, and how-to guides for internal teamsSkills3+ years in QA for a software product (SaaS preferred)Solid manual testing skills and defect isolation; strong attention to detailWorking knowledge of API testing (e.g., Postman/Insomnia) and basic SQL for data validationExperience with ticketing tools (e.g., clickup) and test case management (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr, or similar)Familiarity with modern test automation (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium) and CI (e.g., GitHub Actions)Clear written communication; comfortable collaborating cross-functionally and in a remote environmentPrior experience in HR/Payroll/Workforce Management domainsPerformance testing familiarity (e.g., k6, JMeter) and basic accessibility testingMonitoring & analytics exposure (e.g., Sentry, Datadog) for issue tracingSecurity-minded testing habits (auth, RBAC, PII handling)Company OverviewRowsOne is an all in one system built for labor-intensive and compliance-driven industries where precision matters and scale is non-negotiable.
