They are seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee complex projects, manage budgets, and ensure quality control while leading cross-functional teams and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders.ResponsibilitiesUses established project management methodologies/tools, work with team to successfully manage complex scopes of work(s), which include – defining work effort and estimates, developing effective team execution plan(s), supporting team work effort by removing impediments, anticipating issues, and ensuring right parties are engaged to resolve problemsPerforms financial management of the project: budgeting & forecasting, cost benefit analysis, EV/ROI/earn vs. burn analysis, team velocity, etcUsually manages multiple complex projects simultaneouslyPlans, monitors, and tracks delivery of quality control and takes corrective action as appropriateDevelops project policy, procedures and standardsCommunicates project information to all project team members, sponsors, vendors and IT managers, as appropriateReviews, assesses and communicates quality assurance planning to team members, sponsors, and vendorsDevelops project quality control policy and procedures and communication plansPlans and executes pre and post implementationAnticipates strategic impact to projects (inter dependencies to/from other projects) Coordinates with appropriate partiesWorks on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factorsManagement may request PM support for special assignments as needed based upon expertise required for difficult or complex problemsOwns project budget. Expected to anticipate budget issues, resolve timely, adjust forecasts, and guide working issue through resolutionDemonstrate good judgment and depth of experience in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutionsThorough understanding of project and the cause and effect of team decisionsRecommends project strategy. Clearly articulates explanations of complex regulatory and project issues/risks to team members and management within the organizationBased on tangible and intangible factors, develop recommendations to guide executive management to critical decisionsDecisions may impact external relationships, organizational performance/success and company’s reputation in the industry (customers, business partners, etc)Orchestrates across multiple areas meetings to develop risk mitigation strategies and address critical issuesForm, motivate and lead high-performance cross-functional teamsBuild effective partnerships with, and between, the developers, architects, QA Team and product managersNetworks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertiseDemonstrates the ability to positively influence change and address barriers impeding progressDevelops and maintains strong working relationships with team and managementProvides leadership and encourages teamwork throughout all levels of the organizationNegotiate with Business, Development, and Testing managers to identify ways to resolve critical problemsElevates project issues to Program Manager and Senior Management as neededMeet and regularly exceeds customer service expectations through project success as well as ongoing interactionsInteracts with potential product vendors to collect and analyze information and negotiate resolution of issues impacting projectsIdentifies and maintains sensitive and confidential project and corporate informationMay mentor other project managersUnder general direction for both
