They are seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee Student Enrollment and Placement projects, facilitating dialogue among various stakeholders and ensuring project management principles are applied effectively.ResponsibilitiesDevelops strategies for appropriate scopes of workParticipates or directs contract negotiation and/or preparationPlans and manages timelines, and monitors progress of various projects and work streams; provides progress updates to project leadsWorks with selected teams on specific aspects of meeting project goals in a timely mannerPrepares, manages, audits, and maintains direct responsibly for project budgetsPrepares reports related to project status and projectionsDirectly supervises project or department staff as requiredDevelops and builds good communications and relationships between Facilities, Information Technology, Teacher Effectiveness, the Chief Academic Support Office or the Office of College and Career Readiness and central offices and schoolsParticipates in confidential and/or sensitive matters and/or projects at every level of the enterpriseWorks with in setting priorities for the completion of requested servicesParticipates in organizational planning within Facilities, Transportation, Information Technology, Teacher Effectiveness, the Chief Academic Support Office or the Office of College and Career Readiness and other departmental officesAssists in various Facilities, Transportation, Information Technology, Teacher Effectiveness, Chief Academic Support Office or the Office of College and Career Readiness projects when neededSupports all administrative and managerial project work related to the development and implementation of the Equity Coalition and Equity Partners FellowshipSkillsCompletion of a bachelor's degree program from an accredited college or universitySix years of full-time, paid, professional experience in either operations, finance, education, or information technology which has included serving as a team lead or project managerDemonstrated knowledge of the procedures and methods utilized to implement systemic change in a timely, accurate, and effective mannerDemonstrated knowledge of Asana Project Management, FileMaker Pro Advanced, Excel or Microsoft Project, Vision and/or other productivity and scheduling toolsDemonstrated ability to manage large or complex projects and/or budgetsDemonstrated ability to plan, organize, and direct project activities and allocate staff resources to tasks efficientlyDemonstrated ability to analyze and resolve complex problemsDemonstrated ability to represent a superior at meetings and conferencesDemonstrated ability to present ideas effectively, both orally and in writingCompany OverviewThe School District of Philadelphia is focused on improving the learning opportunities available to the city's 200,000 school-aged children.
