[Remote] Senior Project Manager

They are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to enhance, replace, and integrate clients' legacy systems into a new modernized system, managing the consultant team and overseeing all phases of the project.ResponsibilitiesManage the consultant team and oversee all aspects of the scope or workWork with the client to define project scope, requirements, and deliverables; monitor project activities and resources to mitigate riskParticipate in developing and maintaining the project plans required by the client, ensuring that all milestones and deliverables are met on timeConduct stakeholder communication, acting as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, including clients, team members, and vendors. Regularly update stakeholders on project progress, risks, and issuesLead and mentor the project team, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the resources and information needed to complete their tasks effectivelyOversee all the technical aspects of the project, including implementation and the integration of the system. Ensure that best practices are followed and that the solutions meet the project requirementsWork closely with the QA team to ensure that all deliverables are thoroughly tested and meet quality standards. This includes coordinating smoke testing, unit testing, and integration testing. Collaborate with the UAT team and assist in structured testing planning and executionFacilitate problem resolution activities by identifying and resolving any issues that arise during the project, ensuring that they are addressed promptly and effectivelyMake improvements, solve problems, or take corrective action when problems ariseGive presentations or briefings on all aspects of the projectEnsure that all project documentation is complete and up-to-date, including technical documentation, user manuals, and project reportsProvide training and support to end-users and stakeholders to ensure they can effectively use the new systems and processesConduct a post-implementation review to evaluate the project's success and identify areas for improvement in future projectsImplement continuous improvement practices to enhance project delivery processes and outcomes. Provide lessons learned to the client Team LeadersCreate and deliver a knowledge transfer plan when applicableFacilitate any training sessions in accordance with the knowledge transfer planSkillsWithin the last ten (10) years, must have seven (7) years of broad, extensive and increasingly responsible experience applying Project Management principles, methods, techniques, and toolsWithin the last ten (10) years, at least four (4) years of applying Project Management principles, methods, techniques, and tools experience must have been as a senior PM of one or more large or complex IT projectsMust possess a Bachelor's Degree. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis. A copy of the degree must be provided upon requestMust possess a valid Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI), which will be verified. The PMP certification is required and may not be substituted with additional experience. A copy of the certificate must be provided upon requestWithin the last ten (10) years, at least three (3) years of experience in managing modernization projects through all phases of the system development lifecycle (SDLC), leading technical teams and influencing business partners, demonstrating strong organizational skills and capacity to lead all aspects of project managementWithin the last ten (10) years, must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience assisting with converting and migrating legacy data on a large and complex IT system projectWithin the last ten (10) years, must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience facilitating change control management processes in large and complex IT system implementationWithin the last ten (10) years, must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience developing and/or facilitating review and approval of project management plans and deliverables for large and complex IT system development projects for government agenciesMust be able to provide a client/user end reference contact information for each applicable project meeting the requirements upon request in the qualification form. In addition, you must be able to submit completed reference forms when requested. Each reference form must be signed by the referenced individual.
