[Remote] Senior Project Manager

The Senior Project Manager will lead the pre-construction phase of complex construction projects, overseeing project planning, estimation, and client engagement.ResponsibilitiesLead the strategic planning process for pre-construction activities, collaborating with senior management to define project objectives, scope, and deliverablesDevelop comprehensive project plans, budgets, and timelines, ensuring alignment with client expectations, company goals, and industry best practicesIdentify and assess project risks, challenges, and opportunities, developing mitigation strategies and contingency plans as neededOversee the estimating process, including quantity take-offs, material pricing, labor costs, and subcontractor quotes, to prepare accurate cost estimates for steel fabrication and erection servicesConduct detailed cost analysis and value engineering assessments to optimize project budgets, minimize costs, and enhance project profitabilityReview and approve bid proposals, ensuring compliance with project specifications, contractual requirements, and company standardsCultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders throughout the pre-construction phaseAct as a trusted advisor to clients, providing expert guidance, insights, and recommendations to support informed decision-making and project successAnticipate client needs and proactively address concerns or issues to ensure a positive client experience and foster long-term partnershipsProvide leadership and mentorship to pre-construction teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvementRecruit, train, and develop top talent, ensuring that team members have the skills, knowledge, and resources needed to succeed in their rolesConduct performance evaluations, provide feedback and coaching, and recognize achievements to promote employee engagement and retentionProvide technical expertise and guidance on steel fabrication and erection methods, materials, and industry best practices to support project planning and executionReview and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and blueprints to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirementsPrepare and review technical documentation, including project specifications, proposals, and construction documents, to ensure alignment with project objectives and standardsSkillsBachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or related field preferred, or equivalent work experienceMinimum of 7-10 years of experience in pre-construction management, estimating, or project management, with a proven track record of successfully leading large-scale construction projectsExpertise in structural steel fabrication and erection practices, with a strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and methodsDemonstrated leadership abilities, with a track record of effectively leading cross-functional teams and delivering results in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and collaborate effectively with clients, internal teams, and external stakeholdersStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate issues, identify solutions, and make informed decisionsProficiency in construction estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)Company OverviewSuppliers and erectors of structural steel, metal building systems, insulated metal roof and wall panels, metal cladding, mass timber, and other associated components.
