[Remote] Senior Project Engineer

Watts Water Technologies is dedicated to providing safe, clean water for the world and is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to support daily operations and lead the planning, design, and execution of turnkey project initiatives. The role involves developing technical CAD drawings, collaborating with engineers and clients, and ensuring quality and compliance throughout project lifecycles.ResponsibilitiesTransform conceptual sketches, redlines and layouts provided by the project development team to develop technical CAD drawings for turnkey projectsWork with engineers, project managers, and clients to translate ideas into functional designs and technical drawingsAssist project development team in sizing, specifying and integrating Watts brandβs equipment and third-party equipment to generate complete system solutionsMaintain accurate, organized, and up-to-date CAD files and technical documentation in compliance with company and industry standardsDevelop and review equipment layouts and piping schematics for customer approval and field useIdentify potential design issues and suggest improvements to confirm compliance, identify risks, and resolve technical gaps early in the project lifecycleReview drawings for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to codes before final submissionAssist project development team in generating project specific scopes of work for contractors to base their pricing onAssist project development team in generating cost estimates and proposalsConduct occasional field visits to sketch existing conditions of mechanical rooms and collect dataLead and support design-related discussions, technical clarification, and coordination activities with contractors and vendorsAssume responsibility for other projects and duties as assigned by Senior Manager, Projects or Company managementResponsibility directly tied to Watts Value (Integrity, Accountability, Continuous Improvement, Transparency)Travel Requirements: 50% travel is required to job sites and meetingsSkillsBachelor's degree in mechanical engineeringMinimum 7 years of mechanical designStrong proficiency in CAD platforms, such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, or similar software, with the ability to produce complex layouts and schematicsSolid understanding engineering principles, material properties, and manufacturing processesStrong knowledge of heating and hot water systemsProficiency in interpreting blueprints, schematic diagrams, and mechanical equipment specificationsHigh attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills for teamworkProficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteAdvance technical certifications in mechanical systems or CADExperience using construction or project management software preferredBenefitsCompetitive compensation based on your skills, qualifications and experienceComprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefitsFamily building benefits, including paid maternity/paternity leave10 paid holidays and Paid Time OffContinued professional development opportunities and educational reimbursementAdditional perks such as fitness reimbursements and employee discount programsCompany OverviewWe are a global leader of quality water solutions for residential, industrial, municipal, and commercial settings.
