[Remote] Senior Product Manager, Supplemental ELA (Remote, US)

They are seeking a Senior Product Manager to own the full product lifecycle of the Supplemental ELA product line, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and driving instructional outcomes.ResponsibilitiesMaintain Strong Subject-Specific Market Pulse: Serves as the subject matter expert on market trends, customer needs, competitive offerings, and emerging instructional practices to identify opportunities for product growth, expansion, and differentiationSubject-Specific Strategy: Partners with internal and external stakeholders to inform and execute the Supplemental ELS strategy by identifying market opportunities, evaluating customer needs, assessing risks, and recommending product investmentsUse qualitative and quantitative data to inform product direction and decisions, gathering information about district and user needs through interviews and customer visits as well as analytics servicesDefine success metrics and monitor product performance, including customer adoption, engagement, retention, instructional outcomes, and business impact, using insights to inform future roadmap decisionsPrioritize Content and Instructional Design Roadmaps: Collaborates with Content, Product Marketing, and other key stakeholders to prioritize roadmap investments, state standards updates, and new product opportunities, ensuring alignment with customer needs, state adoption timelines, and business objectivesAdvocate for Platform Features: Partners with content and platform product teams to prioritize and advocate for subject-specific platform improvementsBudget & Forecasting: Manages budgets and financial forecasts for subject-specific projectsCollaborate closely with internal instructional experts to ensure that solutions are pedagogically sound and can be implemented with integrityLead cross-functional execution of ELA roadmap and special projects, working in conjunction with product operations to monitor progress and mitigate risksContribute to product launch and ongoing support with sales and marketing to shape and develop deliverables that will drive success of the product in the marketplaceDrive alignment and influence decision-making across stakeholders by communicating strategy, priorities, and progress in a clear and effective mannerPartner with Supplemental and Platform product management to ensure that discipline area products are fully leveraging platform design and functionalityManage cross-functional relationships with PD and customer success to support customer needs, deepen product knowledge, and develop stakeholder and customer empathy within the curriculum team SMEProvide consultative support to customers and field-facing staff, as necessaryProvide mentorship, coaching, and direction to less experienced team members, including the potential to oversee or supervise team members as organizational needs evolveSkills5-7 years of experience in product management in K-12 education, including direct experience in edtech, with a deep understanding of the ELA marketDemonstrated experience managing the lifecycle of digital educational products or featuresProven experience partnering with and leading cross-functional teams, specifically across content, product, marketing, and salesExperience developing business cases for expanding the value of a product portfolio, including conducting market analysis, competitive positioning, and aligning with company strategic goalsExperience engaging with K-12 administrators, teachers, and students to gather feedback and ensure product-market fit, incorporating research into product improvementsStrong communication and negotiation skills; Demonstrated ability to take ownership and drive decision-making in a matrixed organizationStrong data analysis and interpretation skills for analyzing trends, evaluating product performance and making data-driven decisionsFamiliarity with K-12 ELA instructional trends and practices such as Science of Reading, Knowledge-building curricula, MTSS or ELDStrong understanding of budget management, financial forecasting, and analysis to ensure fiscal responsibility across multiple product linesProficiency with tools such as Jira, Asana, or Trello for tracking project timelines and managing cross-team dependenciesAbility to work in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environmentBenefitsComprehensive medical benefits with employer contribution to premiums and to HSA accounts.Additional benefits such as gym reimbursement, pet insurance, free access to the Calm app, Rocket Lawyer and more to help you stay healthy: mind, body, and soul.We are a fully remote company.
