They are seeking a Senior Product Manager to define the vision and strategy for pricing platforms, enabling faster and higher-quality pricing decisions across the company.ResponsibilitiesOwn the Pricing roadmap and iterate on the vision for 2027 and beyondLead a team of engineers through the full product lifecycle, from ideation to implementation and iterationWrite clear product requirement documentation (PRDs) that align business strategy with engineering plansCultivate a prioritized product backlog using robust product frameworks and data-driven decision makingOwn and evolve Root’s internal pricing platform, Rating Plan ManagerAccelerate the path from new data and model features to production deploymentImprove pricing workflow speed, reliability, observability, and usabilityBuild self-service tooling that enables faster experimentation and feature creationReduce operational and regulatory bottlenecks across pricing and filing workflowsSupport Root’s nationwide expansion by adapting pricing capabilities to meet the specific regulatory and operational needs of new statesPartner deeply with engineering, actuarial, data science, analytics, legal, and state management teams to drive execution across complex systemsSkills4+ years of product management experience, ideally in fintech, insurtech, or another data-intensive regulated environmentStrong systems thinking and comfort with technical concepts like predictive modeling, APIs, and workflow orchestrationData-driven mindset; experience working with data scientists and analytics partnersExcellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex concepts into simple user experiencesExperience in agile development methodologiesCustomer-centric mindset with demonstrated success in improving user experiencesDetail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectivelyAdaptable approach to scope and responsibilities in a growing organizationCollaborative work style with the ability to influence without direct authorityRoll-up-the-sleeves work ethic and 'do-what-it-takes' attitude to drive results in a fast-paced environmentAbility to travel 10% of the time (quarterly in-person team events)BenefitsEligible for competitive bonus and equity offering.Root is a “work where it works best” company.
