They are seeking a Senior Product Manager to define and deliver innovative data protection solutions for modern cloud database and AI workloads, focusing on product strategy and execution.ResponsibilitiesDefine and drive product strategy, direction, and a multi-release roadmap for protecting: Cloud AI platforms and services (e.g., Amazon SageMaker, Amazon Bedrock, and emerging managed AI services), Vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Milvus, Weaviate, pgvector), NoSQL databases across on-prem and cloud (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB, Cosmos DB) and other modern data servicesIdentify new opportunities driven by GenAI/ML adoption, vector search, and modern cloud architecturesâand translate them into shipped product outcomesTurn customer needs, field feedback, and partner requirements into clear, differentiated capabilities and crisp PRDs/user storiesOwn the end-to-end product lifecycleâfrom discovery and validation to launch, adoption, and continuous improvementâdelivering roadmap commitments with an agile mindsetWork closely with engineering on architecture, design decisions, and trade-offsDefine requirements for cloud-native protection and recoveryEnsure solutions meet enterprise standards for scalability, reliability, security, and performancePartner directly with enterprise customers and design partnersLead competitive analysis and product positioningSupport go-to-market efforts with sales and marketingPartner with sales teams to drive product successâsupporting pipeline creation, enablement, competitive wins, and customer expansion with clear messaging and playbooksRepresent the product in customer briefings, industry events, and analyst discussionsSkillsBachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline8+ years of product management or engineering experience (or equivalent technical leadership) in enterprise software, cloud platforms, databases, and/or data protectionHands-on experience with public cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and protecting/operating cloud workloads, including identity/IAM, networking, encryption/KMS, and cloud-native APIsHands-on experience administering, building on, or integrating with at least one modern database platform (vector and/or NoSQL) such as Pinecone, Milvus/Weaviate, MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB, or Cosmos DBWorking knowledge of cloud AI/ML platforms and services (e.g., Amazon SageMaker, Amazon Bedrock) and the data flows that power AI applicationsAbility to engage engineering teams at a detailed architectural level, write clear requirements, and make trade-offs across security, performance, reliability, and usabilityStrong cross-functional leadership and communication skills, with experience partnering with sales and customer-facing teams to drive adoption and revenue outcomesMBA preferredExperience protecting large-scale, multi-terabyte or multi-petabyte database environmentsExperience with AI/ML data pipelines and vector search architecturesFamiliarity with Kubernetes, containerized workloads, and infrastructure-as-codeExperience with SaaS or multi-tenant data platformsKnowledge of compliance requirements (SOC2, GDPR, HIPAA, etc.)BenefitsContinuous professional development, product training, and career pathingAn inclusive company culture, opportunity to join our Employee GroupsGenerous benefits supporting your health, financial security, and work-life balanceEmployee stock purchase plan (ESPP)Company OverviewCommvault is a cyber resilience platform built for recovery and protection against threats.
