The role involves managing resources, translating customer insights into product requirements, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations while driving product strategy and execution.ResponsibilitiesManage, coach, and develop direct reports, setting clear goals, giving regular feedback, and supporting their growthOwn resource allocation across the portfolio, balancing team capacity against priorities and reprioritizing as needs shiftProvide prioritization guidance to engineering so teams stay focused on the work that matters mostPartner with the Chief Product Officer on product strategy, roadmap trade-offs, and executive stakeholder communication, securing buy-in for key decisionsMaintain a continuous voice-of-the-customer feedback loop, synthesizing input from the support team, patients, and clinical operations into prioritized, actionable product insightCultivate relationships with patients and clinical team members willing to validate concepts and prioritize features before significant development investment is madeTranslate customer and market insight into clear, well-scoped functional and non-functional requirements, including privacy, security, and accessibility requirementsAuthor product requirements documents, user stories, and acceptance criteria that reflect real user needs, clinical workflow, and business goalsContribute to build-versus-buy analysis for new capabilities, grounding recommendations in market landscape, technical feasibility, security posture, and strategic fitOwn and prioritize the product backlog for assigned areas in close partnership with engineeringUse AI tools to compress the path from idea to shipped feature, from drafting requirements and synthesizing research to standing up working prototypesShape and maintain product roadmaps that are grounded in customer evidence, aligned to Inception’s strategic priorities, and realistic given engineering capacity and timelineCollaborate across clinical operations, data analytics, engineering, helpdesk, and revenue cycle, ensuring product decisions reflect all relevant perspectives and that progress is communicated clearlySupport development of training materials, including product documentation, feature narratives, and client-facing communications, as new capabilities launchPlan and execute product releases across the portfolio, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met and that change is managed thoughtfully for clinic and patient usersCommunicate product updates and changes to internal teams, stakeholders, and end users in clear, accurate, and timely languagePartner with the support and QA teams to review and prioritize bugs and issues, ensuring they are resolved within timelines appropriate to their patient and clinical impactDefine and monitor success metrics for each release, using outcomes data to validate decisions and inform the next iterationEnsure that Prelude Connect, Practice Edge, and Prelude Cryo capabilities comply with applicable healthcare regulation and security standards, including HIPAA for United States protected health information and PIPEDA for personal health information of Canadian individualsApply responsible-AI practices, never exposing protected health information to AI tools that are not approved and governed, and ensuring AI-enabled features meet HIPAA, PIPEDA, and company data-handling standardsHelp establish and refine product practices, including customer interview frameworks, requirements templates, prioritization approaches, and feedback loopsChampion a customer-first, evidence-based mindset across colleaguesParticipate in occasional customer and partner engagements, traveling as needed to build relationships and gather direct market insightOther duties as assignedSkillsBachelor's degree or equivalent experience, preferably in a technical, healthcare, or related field6 to 8 years of product management experience, with a track record of owning requirements, driving roadmap decisions, and shipping products in complex business-to-business environmentsPrior healthcare experience required. You understand the clinical, operational, and regulatory realities of building software that touches patients, providers, and clinical teamsStrong background in modern product development methodologies, including agile practices, with experience driving projects from idea to launch to measurable outcomeComfort working where not everything is built yet, and the judgment to know what good looks like even when you are building it from scratchExperience directly managing or formally mentoring product, delivery, or implementation staffTechnical experience preferred but not required.
