[Remote] Senior Power BI Consultant (Contract)

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. DOOR3 is seeking a Senior Power BI Consultant to take ownership of dashboard and report development for an active client engagement. The role involves maintaining and improving existing Power BI implementations, focusing on data modeling, DAX, troubleshooting, and client-facing reporting support.ResponsibilitiesMaintain, enhance, and troubleshoot Power BI reports and dashboardsBuild and optimize Power BI data models, relationships, measures, and visualsWrite and maintain DAX measures and Power Query transformationsValidate report outputs against source data and business requirementsInvestigate and resolve report performance, refresh, data accuracy, and usability issuesWork directly with internal project stakeholders and client users to clarify reporting needs and explain dashboard behaviorDocument key metrics, report logic, assumptions, and known limitationsSkillsSenior-level Power BI consultant / developer5+ years total experience in BI, reporting, analytics, or data visualization3+ years hands-on Power BI experience, including Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service3+ years DAX experience, including measures, calculated columns, filtering logic, and performance-aware calculations2+ years SQL experience, preferably with SQL Server or Azure SQLStrong understanding of BI data modeling concepts, including relationships, measures, KPIs, and report-level filteringExperience troubleshooting Power BI refresh failures, data discrepancies, model issues, and report performanceA strong communicator who works comfortably with both technical and non-technical stakeholdersDetail-oriented, especially around data validation and metric definitionsA proactive problem solver who can investigate issues independentlyAt ease in a client-facing consulting environmentAble to explain reporting concepts and data issues in plain languageConfident in written and verbal EnglishExperience inheriting and improving existing Power BI reportsExperience with Power BI workspace management, permissions, deployment, and dataset refresh configurationFamiliarity with row-level security and report access controlsExperience working with operational, legal, case management, HR, or nonprofit reportingAbility to review SQL-based reporting data and understand how backend data affects dashboard outputsCandidates based in Europe strongly preferredCompany OverviewDOOR3 is a digital agency that plans, designs and builds interactive enterprise applications for web, social and mobile media.
