[Remote] Senior Platform Engineer, Data & Performance Enablement

As a Senior Platform Engineer on the Data & Performance Enablement team, you will design and implement platforms for distributed event streaming technologies, mentor engineers, and contribute to the technical roadmap while ensuring high-performance data-intensive applications.ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and maintain key components of our data platform automation for provisioning, backups, and user managementTroubleshoot and resolve complex performance and reliability issues in our data systems, often serving as an escalation point for the teamProactively identify opportunities to improve data streaming services, security, scalability, and automationParticipate in an on-call rotation to support the team's critical servicesMentor junior engineers on the team, providing guidance on database administration, query optimization, and DBRE principlesContribute to the technical roadmap by researching new data technologies and proposing innovative solutionsSkills5 years of applicable experienceStrong experience with messaging platforms (Kafka/Redis)Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC)Proficient in at least one scripting language (e.g., Bash, Python)Solid experience with at least one major cloud provider (Azure or AWS preferred) and their managed offeringsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experienceA product mindset and empathy for developer customers, with experience helping teams design scalable data modelsA pragmatic approach to problem-solving and a proven ability to deliver complex technical projectsExperience with GitHub Actions or similar pipeline technologiesBenefitsThis position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.This full‑time position is eligible for a comprehensive benefits package designed to support the physical, emotional, and financial well‑being of colleagues and their families.The benefits for this position include medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, retirement savings options, wellness programs, and other resources, based on eligibility.Company OverviewCVS Health is a health solutions company that provides an integrated healthcare services to its members.
