They are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to support a federal health technology program, focusing on building and maintaining a self-service application delivery platform for AWS workloads.ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain a self-service application delivery platform for AWS workloadsDesign reusable Jenkins shared libraries and CI/CD pipeline standardsDevelop Jenkins Declarative and Scripted pipelines using GroovyCreate Terraform module stacks for AWS services including ECS, S3, SQS, Lambda, IAM, VPC, and CloudWatchBuild Terraform modules and root module compositions for multi-service applicationsDefine YAML-based application contracts for application teamsImplement promotion workflows, approval gates, drift prevention, and environment separationEstablish Terraform state management and environment management practicesSupport ECS Fargate and other AWS platform servicesStandardize build, test, deploy, and release workflowsPartner with developers, security, and operations teams to deliver secure and reusable platform patternsCreate documentation, templates, and onboarding guides for application teamsImprove platform reliability, observability, security, and cost efficiencySkillsMust be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorshipAbility to obtain and maintain a Federal Public TrustBachelor's degree or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of degree7 or more years of platform development, DevOps, cloud engineering, or infrastructure engineering experienceStrong AWS experience, especially with ECS, IAM, S3, SQS, Lambda, VPC, and CloudWatchHands-on Terraform experience, including module design, root module composition, backend configuration, and state managementJenkins pipeline experience, including Declarative pipelines, Scripted pipelines, shared libraries, or multibranch pipelinesExperience creating reusable platform tooling or abstractions for multiple application teamsScripting experience with Bash or PythonUnderstanding of SDLC, deployment strategies, release governance, and environment promotionExperience designing or supporting internal developer platformsExperience with golden path or self-service deployment patternsExperience with Spring Boot or containerized Java servicesExperience with approval gates, policy enforcement, and environment promotionExperience with multi-account AWS environmentsFamiliarity with event-driven architecture and asynchronous patternsExperience onboarding application teams to shared platform toolingExperience supporting ServiceNow-based low-code applicationsBenefitsHealth and welfare benefits coverage options including medical, dental, vision, spending accounts, life insurance, voluntary plansParticipation in a 401(k) planCompany OverviewSystem One is a professional staffing firms.
