[Remote] Senior People Operations Specialist

Mercury is a fintech company seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Senior People Operations Specialist to enhance employee experiences and maintain operational excellence within their People function. The role involves ensuring the accuracy and integrity of employee data in Workday, supporting employee lifecycle events, and improving service delivery across People Operations processes.ResponsibilitiesServe as the first point of contact for employee and manager inquiries related to People programs, policies, processes, and Workday transactionsProvide timely and accurate support for employee lifecycle events including hires, transfers, promotions, compensation changes, leaves of absence, and terminationsPartner with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless employee experience across all People Operations processesIdentify opportunities to improve service delivery, streamline workflows, and enhance operational efficiencyPerform regular audits and data quality reviews to ensure data integrity across Workday and connected systemsPartner with HR, Payroll, Benefits, managers, and employees to administer and troubleshoot issues related to leave administration, performance reviews, benefits enrollment, and other People initiativesMaintain organizational structures including supervisory organizations, positions, job profiles, cost centers, and related configurationsSupport Workday security administration, including role assignments, security reviews, and user access maintenanceExecute and validate mass data updates using Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB) and other Workday toolsTroubleshoot Workday issues and partner with HRIS, Payroll, Benefits, and IT teams to resolve system and process concernsConduct testing for Workday releases, enhancements, business process updates, and system changesMaintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with company policies and applicable employment regulationsDevelop and maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures, and knowledge articlesSkillsBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)4+ years of People Operations, HR Operations, HRIS, or related experience2+ years of hands-on Workday experienceExperience working in complex organizations with multiple business units, local and international employee populationsExperience processing employee transactions and maintaining employee data in WorkdayExperience performing EIB data loads and mass data updatesStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skillsKnowledge of Workday business processes and employee lifecycle managementExcellent attention to detail and organizational skillsStrong customer service and communication skillsBenefitsThe total rewards package at Mercury includes base salary, equity (stock options), and benefits.Equity (stock options)Company OverviewMercury provides digital banking and financial tools tailored for startups and modern businesses.
