[Remote] Senior Operations Research Supply Chain Developer

The role involves conducting data analysis, modeling, and operational research to support supply chain and logistics initiatives, as well as presenting findings to stakeholders.ResponsibilitiesHelp to identify, understand, and curate necessary data to support supply chain and logistics initiativesPerform data analysis and what-if simulation experiments to identify demand forecasts, inventory level requirements, top degraders, and other key supply chain metricsDevelop supply chain assessments, studies, and analytical reports to inform DoD decision-makingPresent analysis and findings to government, industry, and internal stakeholdersWork with a team of senior and mid-level developers and subject matter experts to answer project requirements and needsCoordinate with government, industry, and internal stakeholders to gather information, validate findings, and support recommended courses of actionSkillsBachelor's degree in a technical field such as math, physics, operations research, engineering, data analytics, or another relevant technical domain3+ years of experience in supply chain and inventory management, industrial base analysis, technology assessments, logistics, acquisition support, intelligence analysis, or a related field5+ years of experience using analytic tools such as Python, SQL, and Tableau to perform data exploration and analysisStrong quantitative, analytical, and research skillsDemonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and ExcelAbility to synthesize complex information into clear findings, risk statements, and actionable recommendationsSuperior oral and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare executive-level briefings and reportsHigh energy, enthusiasm, tact, and ability to effectively interact with senior executives from government and industryAbility to create and foster a cooperative work environmentSelf-directed and detail-oriented, with the ability to complete assigned tasks, adapt to changing work efforts, and manage shifting prioritiesAvailability for occasional travel (5%)U.S. citizenship requiredExperience developing in C++Frontend application development using tools such as React and JavaScriptExperience using Modeling and Simulation tools to run what-if scenarios and develop Courses of Action based on simulation outputExperience with Predictive Maintenance for DoD clientsCompany OverviewLMI is a consulting firm dedicated to improving the management of government.
