[Remote] Senior Network Engineer and Firewall Implementation

The role involves implementing, managing, and maintaining client firewalls and switches, along with mentoring SOC resources and handling cybersecurity incidents.ResponsibilitiesFully able to setup and implement new firewalls and network infrastructure without assistanceWork with other Network Engineers to manage and support client firewallsMonitor and triage cybersecurity incidents and event triggers from client firewallsProvide teaching and mentoring the entire SOC on Network related itemsDocument security incident use cases, help develop and update procedures for management scaleProvide remote support to customers for firewall, VPN (Client and P2P), and other related issuesParticipate in after-hours upgrades, troubleshooting, and on-call availability as neededRemain engaged with technical forums and user groupsOther relevant tasks as directed by department leadershipSkills7 years of experience in network and firewall managementFully able to setup and implement new firewalls and network infrastructure without assistanceWork with other Network Engineers to manage and support client firewallsMonitor and triage cybersecurity incidents and event triggers from client firewallsProvide teaching and mentoring the entire SOC on Network related itemsDocument security incident use cases, help develop and update procedures for management scaleProvide remote support to customers for firewall, VPN (Client and P2P), and other related issuesParticipate in after-hours upgrades, troubleshooting, and on-call availability as needed7+ years of working knowledge of firewall, networking, and security-related information technologiesKnowledge of various firewalls types with required experience with Fortinet or CiscoExperience with administering common network services, such as DNS, DHCP, NTP, etcDemonstrated ability to analyze, triage, and remediate firewall and network related issuesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExperience in troubleshooting in a technical environmentExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsSuperior customer service skillsHave or acquire one or more certifications in the cybersecurity domain including, but not limited to: CCENT, CCNA, NSE4 and above, PCNSE, etcCISCO, Fortinet, Microsoft, Network +, Security+BenefitsWork remotely and provide own computer, printer/scanner, computer audio capability, cell phone, Internet service, and Microsoft Office software.This position may require occasional travel for training and meetings.Company OverviewClearwater provides healthcare cybersecurity, compliance, managed cloud, and risk solutions.
