[Remote] Senior Network Engineer

ECS is a leading mid-sized provider of technology services to the United States Federal Government, seeking a Senior Network Engineer to support and maintain enterprise network infrastructure. This role involves designing, implementing, securing, and optimizing network systems that support mission-critical operations across corporate office environments and data centers.ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and maintain network infrastructure across ECS corporate offices and data centersManage core networking components, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancersEnsure high availability and performance of WAN/LAN connectivity between sitesSupport data center networking, including spine-leaf architecture, VLANs, VXLAN, and segmentation strategiesMonitor network performance and troubleshoot issues across multiple environmentsImplement and maintain network security controls (ACLs, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS)Collaborate with systems, cloud, and cybersecurity teams to support hybrid infrastructurePerform capacity planning, upgrades, and lifecycle management of network hardware/softwareMaintain documentation for network topology, configurations, and standard operating proceduresSupport incident response and root cause analysis for network outagesSkillsAbility to pass background checks comparable to DoD Secret5+ years of experience in enterprise network engineeringStrong expertise in routing and switching (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP)Experience with enterprise networking vendors (Cisco, Palo Alto, SonicWall, etc.)Hands-on experience supporting multi-site WAN environmentsKnowledge of data center networking concepts and architecturesExperience with network monitoring and troubleshooting toolsSolid understanding of network security principlesAbility to multitask and effectively prioritize competing requirementsFamiliarity with SD-WAN and MPLS technologiesExperience with Network Access Controls (NPS, ForeScout)Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or hybrid connectivity)Knowledge of automation tools (Python, Ansible, Terraform)Relevant certifications (CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, or equivalent)Company OverviewEverforth ECS is the federal segment of Everforth, a $4B global organization with over 10,000 employees.
