They are seeking a Senior MTS Backend Engineer to lead complex technical initiatives and drive the development of eBay Live, their new live shopping platform.ResponsibilitiesIndependently lead complex technical initiatives within and beyond your teamLead engineering support, release, and on-call responsibilities for an 'always-on' 24/7 siteDrive technical direction and roadmap, leads across domain teams and guides others towards the right technical decisionsAuthors ADRs (Architecture Decision Records) that serves as blueprint or a proposed solution for a given technical problem and influences overall tech strategyResponsible for one or more large functional areas possessing in-depth knowledge and expertiseDemonstrate strong systems mindset, go beyond immediate needs, proactively addressing performance, security, and future-proofing solutionsTake ownership of complex projects, driving them from conception to successful implementationChange agency to set high bar and uplevel across teams on culture, process and engineering practices.
