The role involves developing innovative HVAC and cooling solutions to ensure the reliability and efficiency of advanced data centers.ResponsibilitiesLead mechanical system design for hyperscale and enterprise data center projects from concept through construction and commissioningDevelop project scopes of work based on client requirements, technical reviews, and stakeholder meetingsSolve complex engineering challenges involving critical cooling, HVAC, and mechanical infrastructure systemsPerform engineering studies, system evaluations, feasibility assessments, and schematic designs for new and existing facilitiesAnalyze and optimize the performance of existing mechanical systems to improve reliability, efficiency, and resiliencyCollaborate with project managers to define project scope, budgets, schedules, and resource requirementsProvide technical leadership and mentorship to multidisciplinary design teamsReview and oversee engineering deliverables to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with project objectivesCoordinate project execution with clients, contractors, architects, and other engineering disciplinesInterpret and apply building codes, energy standards, and industry best practices while working with code officials when necessaryReview construction documents, contractor submittals, and payment applications throughout project deliveryAssist in developing construction budgets, cost estimates, and value-engineering solutionsDrive engineering excellence while ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standardsMentor and develop junior engineers, helping build the next generation of technical leadersSkillsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering7–15+ years of HVAC and mechanical design experience within the MEP consulting industryExperience designing mission-critical facilities, data centers, or other highly resilient infrastructure projects is strongly preferredAdvanced knowledge of HVAC systems, chilled water plants, cooling technologies, and critical mechanical infrastructureProficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and industry-standard design and calculation softwareStrong understanding of local building codes, energy codes, and industry standardsDemonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and prioritiesExcellent communication and client-facing skills with the ability to build trusted advisor relationshipsThorough understanding of the construction process from design through commissioningExperience designing mission-critical facilities, data centers, or other highly resilient infrastructure projects is strongly preferredProfessional Engineer (PE) license preferredCompany OverviewGreenBridge are a specialized growth partner, exclusively focused on the renewable energy, critical infrastructure and digital verticals.
