[Remote] Senior MDM Analyst

They are seeking a Senior MDM Analyst to support and mature their Master Data Management practice in the Customer Master domain, focusing on data quality and analysis related to mergers and acquisitions.ResponsibilitiesProfile new data for quality assurance purposesPerform preliminary analysis and cleanup of M&A master data before handing over to the business for further review and cleanupAssist with determining the appropriate hierarchy when bringing in Account Master Data from an acquired companyAnalyze data in existing systems in order to identify quality and completeness issues and to aid with cleanupIdentify duplicate Account and Contact data across systems and within systemsTransform data into required format for ingestion into various systemsPerform ETL operations on new (M&A) or existing data sources Develops, designs, and optimizes complex SQL/T-SQL queries in data analysis and transformationPerform analysis on data from 3rd party providers that will ultimately be used for data enrichmentUnderstand business definitions, rules, and processes around master data in order to establish data analysis processes that ensure meaningful dataAdminister our Collibra data governance and data catalog platform. This includes building workflows, managing page layouts, maintaining security, ingesting metadata, etcCollaborate with the MDM Lead and Global Data Stewards on the business side in order to provide data supportCommunicate status updates and open issues to both technical and business resources in a manner that can be clearly understoodSupport data analysis on other types of master data or even transactional data as needed over timeSkills5+ years as a Data Analyst5+ years experience with T-SQL or PL-SQL1+ years moving/transforming data using an ETL toolExperience in analyzing and ingesting data from CSV and other delimited file formats is expectedStrong Excel skills (especially with VLOOKUP and XLOOKUP) are expectedExperience working with large datasets is expected2+ years of experience with data profiling/quality toolsExperience working directly with key business stakeholdersExperience in collaboration and communication with both technical and business resourcesExperience learning and documenting business definitions, rules, and processesAbility to take initiative and work under limited supervisionExperience with XML and JSON is a plusExposure to Data Governance key concepts like Metadata Management, Business Glossary, Cataloging, Lineage and etc. is preferredExperience with some Data Governance/Catalog platform is preferredExperience working with data modeling is preferredCompany OverviewOctave provides mission-critical software that empowers organizations to make informed decisions across every stage of the asset lifecycle.
