As a Senior Marketing Engineer, you will build systems that drive growth and enhance marketing efforts through automation, experimentation, and better tooling.ResponsibilitiesOwn and improve marketing engineering systems that drive acquisition, conversion, and retentionPartner with marketing to identify high-leverage opportunities and translate them into scalable technical solutionsOwn projects from concept through launch and iteration, making sound engineering informed-choices, prioritizing effectively, and resolving issues related to performance, functionality, and reliabilityBuild, improve, and iterate on landing pages, funnels, and other growth surfaces to improve performanceDesign and perform rapid experiments, using results to guide future iterationImplement and maintain marketing tracking, analytics, and attribution systems to aid in better decision-makingBuild internal tools and automations that help the marketing team scale effectively and operate more effectivelyUse expertise to evaluate, select, and implement marketing technologies that improve execution and insightApply AI-driven workflows to areas such as content generation, SEO, personalization, and analyticsEnsure web experiences are reliable, performant, and compatible across browsers and devicesSkillsStrong proficiency in JavaScript and experience with full-stack web development, including but not limited to Ruby, ColdFusion, or PythonProven experience building and enhancing growth-focused web systems, including landing pages, funnels, SEO, analytics, and marketing attributionExperience performing A/B tests or growth experiments and using data to drive outcomesExperience working with CMS platforms and implementing analytics, tracking, and attribution systemsExperience building with LLMs, including prompt design, evaluation, and applying AI to marketing use cases (content, SEO, personalization, internal tools)General curiosity, strong critical thinking techniques and knowledge of how to turn ambiguous problems into concrete solutionsPropensity to work autonomously, oversee projects end-to-end, and ship with a pragmatic, iterative approachExceptional communication, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical team members and audiencesPragmatic approach to development: shipping quickly, iterating based on results, and avoiding over-engineeringBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent work experienceExperience leveraging AI tools to improve efficiency and decision making is preferredPassion for the music industry and knowledge of its unique obstacles and opportunitiesBenefitsRetirement plans (401k, SIPP, etc.)Health insuranceGenerous paid time offParental leaveHome office allowanceFlexible work schedulesPaid and discounted subscriptionsRegular engagement activitiesCompany OverviewDistroKid is a SaaS-based musical platform that publishes music in a range of stores and streaming applications.
