[Remote] Senior Marketing Automation Specialist

They are seeking a Senior Marketing Automation Specialist to architect, scale, and optimize the automation systems that support customer and stakeholder journeys, primarily using HubSpot. The role involves collaboration across various teams to design scalable CRM processes and ensure data integrity and operational efficiency.ResponsibilitiesOwn and optimize HubSpot CRM as the central platform supporting lead management, lifecycle journeys, and engagement across the businessDesign and implement multi channel automation strategies including email, WhatsApp, SMS, and other engagement channelsArchitect and maintain data flows and integrations between HubSpot and internal and external systems such as Salesforce, Jotform, and custom platformsEstablish and enforce data hygiene, segmentation, governance, and compliance standards to ensure reliable and actionable CRM dataPartner with stakeholder teams across Marketing, Sales, Community, Learning, Engineering, and Operations to translate business needs into scalable automation solutionsBuild, maintain, and evolve dashboards and reporting frameworks that surface performance, pipeline health, and lifecycle insightsLead training, documentation, and enablement initiatives to drive strong platform adoption and consistent best practicesAct as an internal consultant and thought partner on automation strategy, continuously identifying opportunities for improvement and innovationStay current with emerging automation and AI capabilities and recommend enhancements that improve efficiency and engagementSkillsAt least 6 years of experience in CRM, marketing automation, marketing operations, sales operations, or RevOps rolesExpert level experience with HubSpot and/or similar CRMS, including hands on configuration, workflows, reporting, and data architectureProven ability to design and manage complex automation programs across multiple audiences and regionsStrong understanding of data governance, privacy, and compliance frameworks including GDPR, CAN SPAM, and consent managementDemonstrated ability to translate business strategy into scalable system architecture and automation solutionsStrong analytical skills with experience building dashboards and deriving actionable insights from CRM dataAbility to work cross functionally and manage multiple stakeholder priorities in a dynamic environmentHubSpot certifications including Marketing Hub, HubSpot Admin, or Operations HubExperience with system integrations, API based workflows, or middleware tools such as Zapier or MakeExposure to Salesforce or other enterprise CRM platformsExperience operating as part of a center of excellence or shared services automation teamFamiliarity with automation driven enablement, documentation, and change management practicesCompany OverviewALX is a leading talent accelerator, built to accelerate the careers of young Africans through the technology, creative and entrepreneurship that enable them to thrive in the digital economy.
