[Remote] Senior Manager, Technical Accounting and Policy (Remote)

This remote role involves evaluating accounting implications of transactions, preparing technical accounting memorandums, and assisting with the implementation of new accounting standards.ResponsibilitiesEvaluate the accounting implications of potential transactions and provide input and suggestions to planned and proposed agreements or transaction structuresRespond to, solve, and make decisions on standard and/or routine business and accounting policy interpretation requestsReview contracts and agreements, research relevant US GAAP and SEC regulation accounting guidance, recommend accounting requirements for complex and/or non-routine transactionsPrepare technical accounting memorandums and other presentation materials for significant transactions and support the review process with management and external auditorsAssist with implementation of new accounting standards and updatesPrepare key accounting deliverables for acquisitions and divestitures and other strategic transactionsPrepare certain financial reporting deliverables for reporting to RTXIntegrate, maintain, and communicate both Pratt & Whitney and RTX Corporation (RTX) accounting policies. Assist with drafting new and updated accounting policiesPartner with, and present to, internal and external auditors, cross-functional departments, and business units across Pratt & Whitney and RTXSupport Assistant Controller and/or Controller in ad hoc projectsSkillsBachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or a related field and minimum of 10+ years applicable work experience; OR an advanced degree with 7+ years of applicable work experience. CPA strongly preferredStrong technical accounting background with a thorough knowledge of US GAAP and SEC regulations and extensive practical experience in the application of accounting concepts, including revenue recognition, collaborations, leasing, goodwill, intangible assets, internal use software, and business combinations.
