They are seeking a Senior Manager, Technical Accounting, to serve as a subject matter expert and guide engagement teams through complex accounting matters while shaping the future of their technical accounting practice.ResponsibilitiesServe as a technical specialist on business combinations and financial instrumentsDraft technical accounting memos, including purchase accounting analyses and debt/equity classification assessmentsProvide real-time guidance to engagement teams navigating complex transactionsPrepare client-ready deliverables such as technical memos and presentations explaining accounting conclusionsCollaborate with directors and partners to ensure consistent technical positions across engagementsCoordinate with external auditors on technical accounting documentationMentor managers and seniors and provide technical oversight on complex workstreamsContribute to building standardized methodologies and templates for the firm’s technical accounting practiceSkillsCPA required7–9 years of experience in technical accounting, accounting advisory, or auditDeep expertise in ASC 805, ASC 470, ASC 480, and ASC 815Experience analyzing complex debt instruments, convertible securities, and embedded derivativesProven ability to draft technical accounting memos independentlyStrong written and verbal communication skillsBig 4 or national firm background strongly preferredFinancial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) or technical consultation experienceM&A transactions, debt restructurings, or convertible financing transactionsIPO readiness or SEC reporting exposureExperience mentoring team members and developing technical methodologiesCompany OverviewOur mission is to be your "principal" consultant - a trusted business adviser that you turn to when you encounter a complex issue, a tight deadline, a staffing need, or other organizational challenge.
