Cohesity is a leader in AI-powered data security and management, seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Sales Engineering to lead and grow a high-performing team of Sales Engineers. The role involves scaling technical pre-sales excellence, driving complex enterprise opportunities, and ensuring the successful adoption of Cohesity’s data security and management platform across strategic customer accounts.ResponsibilitiesLead, coach, and develop a team of Sales Engineers, fostering technical excellence, customer obsession, and strong execution across the sales cyclePartner closely with Sales leadership to drive new customer opportunities, providing strategic technical guidance and ensuring consistent, high-quality pre-sales engagement across the regionOversee and support customer engagements involving Cohesity’s Data Cloud portfolio, including backup, recovery, cyber resilience, and data security, ensuring solutions are aligned with customer business and technical requirementsProvide leadership and oversight for RFPs, RFIs, proposals, and complex deal cycles, positioning Cohesity as a strategic platform for enterprise backup, ransomware recovery, cyber vaulting, and disaster recoveryInfluence and support secondary storage and data protection strategies for large enterprise customers and partners, helping establish Cohesity as the primary solution provider for modern data security and cyber resilienceEnsure the delivery of high-impact product demonstrations, executive-level presentations, technical workshops, and proofs of concept, with a strong focus on ransomware defence, cyber resilience, and rapid recoveryAct as a key feedback loop between customers, Sales, Product Management, and Engineering to shape roadmap priorities and go-to-market executionSkillsStrong background in enterprise data security, cyber recovery, cyber resilience or data protection and compliance landscapes with experience supporting complex, multi-stakeholder sales cyclesProven experience leading and scaling Sales Engineering teams supporting enterprise infrastructure, data protection, or security solutionsDemonstrated ability to coach and develop technical talent, driving consistent performance, career growth, and customer impactAbility to engage confidently with executive level stakeholders, influencing technical strategy, business outcomes, and long-term partnershipsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experienceProfessional English language proficiency (spoken and written)Willingness to travel as required to support customers, partners, and team developmentSecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISA, or CISM are advantageousExperience leveraging AI-enabled tools and insights to improve team productivity, decision-making, and execution at scaleBenefitsBonus compensationCommission (if in a sales function)Equity grantsHealth and wellness benefitsVacationPaid holidays and refresh days401(k) retirement planLife and disability insurance coveragesOther benefits the Company may offer from time to timeCohesity employees who are within a reasonable commute (e.g. within a forty-five (45) minute average travel time) work out of our core offices 2-3 days a week of their choosing.Company OverviewCohesity is a data management technology firm that offers hyper-converged secondary storage solutions for backups, files, and analytics.
